This ministry provides tangible expressions of concern in the event of a death. A meal is prepared and provided after the funeral or memorial service. You can volunteer to be called upon to prepare menu items for a family meal or church reception, give your time to deliver a meal to the family home, or help set up tables, serve and clean up for a reception. For more information contact the church office.
This ministry celebrates the birth of a child and assists new mothers and fathers in those early days after childbirth by providing a meal for the family. You can volunteer to be called upon to help prepare and/or deliver a meal to new parents by calling the church office.
All organizations need some sort of structure to help them function. The Christian faith is expressed each and every day in all that we do. However, it is also lived out through our work in the church. Team members help care for the property, design and plan worship, organize our education programs, coordinate our social ministry, encourage our witness and fellowship, just to name a few. Joining a team often is a way for people to connect with their church, meet other people and enjoy serving.
Monday Morning Counters have the weekly responsibility for tallying and recording Sunday offering receipts, and serve on a rotating basis.
Office and Property Volunteers
A loyal band of men and women volunteer in the church office in various ways. If you are interested in helping with clerical work (such as preparing mailings, making copies and assembling bulletins) or assisting with general property maintenance projects (such as painting, minor carpentry and repairs, and changing light bulbs) call the church office. Even if you only have an occasional hour available, we can most certainly use you, and it’s a great way to get connected and learn more about what’s going on at St. Andrew’s!
